Heat Staking

Heat Staking is a common plastics processing technique used to heat plastic materials to a molten state and then mold them through a mold.

Currently, HOPE Precision is capable of performing various heat staking processes, including heat staking of plastic posts and insertion of heat-set threaded nuts.
◉ Plastic Post Heat Staking: The plastic post is heated and softened using a thermal staking head, then riveted onto the base component under controlled pressure. This process ensures high dimensional accuracy, producing a well-formed, mushroom-shaped head that is free from flash.
◉ Heat-Set Threaded Nut Insertion: The threaded insert is heated to an appropriate temperature and then pressed into a pre-molded hole in the plastic part. This method offers high torque consistency and is compatible with blind or through-hole nuts ranging from M1.2 to M8.

Insert Molding

Insert Molding involves placing inserts in an injection mold, injecting plastic, and allowing the inserts to cool and cure within the plastic. This technique integrates components like threads and electrodes into the final product.
